I like the fact that they are able to develop such strong characters within the short amount  Of time in the film.  The themes displayed in these are often very interesting and often times relatable to myself I also often find the sound design very interesting as in the short time they blend many tyes  Of audio into the film  f.What elements of the genre do not appeal to you? What was a strength is also a weakness in this case, the shorter run times make it more difficult to fully emerse a viewer in the world as the run time is so short.

Research: how to make a short film

Writing tip: “If first, you're going to go left, go right” meaning that your first instinct is probably the action that the audience is anticipating and that it's better to do the opposite or nothing at all to not deflate the tension of the film.  This tip could help us in our film as it we wouldn't want it to be predictable and lose the focus of the audience, but instead keep the audience interested and desire to watch more of the film. Gear tip: If you know that you have limited resources keep in mind the limitations you could have in your film. You might not get the exact effect you imagined, but these limitations could help you come up with alternatives for your film.  This tip is important to our film as we are mostly using our phones and laptop to film and edit. It's important that we know our limits in order to utilize them to our best benefit and achieve the effect we wanted as close as possible  Gear tip: Sound is an important part of the film. If you don'

Video:  What is your takeaway from the video? 12 Monkeys is a 1995 science fiction film that tells the story of a time traveler from the future who is sent back in time to prevent a deadly virus from wiping out most of humanity. The film explores themes of determinism, the potential consequences of time travel, and the importance of human connection. One of the key takeaways from the film is the idea that our actions, no matter how small, can have far-reaching consequences. The film also suggests that the future's not set in stone and that it can be changed through the choices we make in the present. Additionally, 12 Monkeys highlights the value of human relationships and the power of love to overcome even the most dire of circumstances. What good information did you gather while watching it? While watching the video I recognized clamps such as zoom ins to a medium close up when the woman is being shown in 12 monkeys. And how the shots of the people were taken closed up to convey

  1.  The special effects in the short film are impressive, with detailed and realistic designs for the stitchpunks and their surroundings. The animation is smooth and the action scenes are well-choreographed. The Film does a good job of creating a sense of tension and danger throughout. The film is also visually striking, with a distinctive visual style that sets it apart from other animated films. The character development for such a short run time is very impressive as it makes you get attached too quickly  2. T he full-length film expands upon the story and introduces new characters and plot elements. The film does an excellent job of exploring the personalities and motivations of the various stitchpunks, and the relationships between the characters are well-developed The longer run time allows the character to have greater development and growth through the film. The special effects in the full-length film are excellent, with detailed and realistic designs for the stitchpunks and

Genre Decision

Image
After researching all the possible genres of our film, as a group, we decided the film would fit best in the drama genre. Even though the other genres researched were very similar and close to being chosen for this film. This film relies heavily on the emotional and relational development of the characters, it features a story with high stakes and conflict, and the fact that this film is plot-driven, portraying real-life scenarios, inspired us to decide on drama as its genre.

Genres I would like to research

Drama is characterized by stories with high stakes and numerous conflicts that rely on the emotional and relational development of characters. Dramas are typically plot-driven, which is why it was a genre that my group wanted to research. Our film's concept revolves around emotional development as well as plot development. Coming-of-age films focus on one or more key moments in a character's life, such as dealing with adversity, forming meaningful connections, or making a decision that will shape that character's future. As a group, we would like to research coming of age because, in our own group film, we do have a theme that plays into the role of growing up and a connection. The mystery genre revolves around the solution to a problem or crime. Foreshadowing is one of the most crucial components in the mystery genre as it allows clues to be revealed to the audience in a way that they will understand. As a group, we would like to research this genre because of its foresh
