Genres I would like to research

 Drama is characterized by stories with high stakes and numerous conflicts that rely on the emotional and relational development of characters. Dramas are typically plot-driven, which is why it was a genre that my group wanted to research. Our film's concept revolves around emotional development as well as plot development.


Coming-of-age films focus on one or more key moments in a character's life, such as dealing with adversity, forming meaningful connections, or making a decision that will shape that character's future. As a group, we would like to research coming of age because, in our own group film, we do have a theme that plays into the role of growing up and a connection.


The mystery genre revolves around the solution to a problem or crime. Foreshadowing is one of the most crucial components in the mystery genre as it allows clues to be revealed to the audience in a way that they will understand. As a group, we would like to research this genre because of its foreshadowing trait, as it could possibly have a role in our film.

      In the short film it addresses the issue of selfishness and taking someone for granted. In the beginning of the film, it starts out as a moment of rekindling of friendship between the two characters, where they highlight each other on significant moments in their life separate life and the one they both shared before. By this the audience gets a grasp of the two personalities of the characters and as the film develops and the scene changes the audience also gets to grasp the unfavorable traits of each character. I am working with Nurdlie, a friend that I recently made. We share a lot of similarities and have the best time together. I chose to work with Nurdlie because I trust her with my grade. She is responsible and reliable. I trust that I can rely on her for help and support. She also shows a lot of commitment to her work. She is a visionary and I am a strategist, which made me think this was a good balance for a team. We’re skilled in different things, which I think could be helpful for this project.
