Final Task

The film Killed In Broad Daylight is finally done! I really enjoyed this journey and experience of filming and I can't wait for you to watch our opening title sequence.

It's all coming to end and retouches

Hey blog! The fact that this project is coming to a close is both sad and relieving. My partner and I are satisfied with the outcomes as the filming process comes to an end, and all we have to do now is rewatch for any mistakes and edit any rough footage or sound we might come across at the last minute. I'm excited to show you the finished product, and I have learnt a lot in the process. While this project was the most difficult of all the others, it was also the most enjoyable. It had its ups and downs because the workload was considerably harder and testing season was approaching, but it was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. In this project, I learned how to use new angles that I hadn't used before, and I'm now able to recognize some common angles and shots while I'm just watching a movie or TV show for enjoyment. Also, because of this project, I was able to see the impacts of angles and camera movements in film; the effects taught me how to use an

Changes made from peer review

Hey, blog! Today changes were made to the film. My partner and I really took the advice we got from our peer reviewer into consideration, and we applied it to our film. I can really see the difference in our film from before and after, and I'm happy to say that the film is looking really good. My partner and I met up again and we redid some shots and scenes which made the film look much smoother than before in the results. As for music, my partner and I picked out a few diegetic and non-diegetic sounds for the film and decided on the ones that we felt went better for the film. The last time when we were reviewed we had a rough draft and now that my partner and I were able to come together one last time to film we have an established product. There is some minor editing that is needed but nothing serious as mentioned in previous blogs. The advice that we received really came in handy for our film and I must say that the film never looked better. I can't wait to show everyone so

Not much editing today

Image
Hello there, blog! My partner and I are continuing to edit our film today. We filmed the last half last week and now we have all of the necessary scenes and shots, however, some parts of the film will need to be reshot. We scheduled a day to retake some of the camera angles, such as the shot-reverse-shot and middle close-up because they didn't seem as clean as we intended. I began to add sounds like diegetic and non-diegetic to help bring the film to life, and I also started to apply transition editing in between scenes like fade in, fade out, and dissolve, just to give off the fear and stress effect in the film that we want the audience to experience. My partner and I want to take our time reshooting each shot because several of the scenes included shots that needed to be retaken. We were in a hurry on our last filming day because it was after school and nighttime was approaching. When we rushed the shots, the result when editing the scenes together wasn't as clear, and it did

Peer Review Blog

Image
Hey, blog! today my partner had a peer review. We had a friend in class who have never seen our film before tell us what they think about it. We needed a fresh pair of eyes to watch our film and point out any mistakes my partner and I could have missed. With this new information, my partner and I took notes and advice on what could be fixed and what could be changed. We did watch the film again after the peer review and analyzed it much closer. before any changes were made, my partner and I made sure to discuss together the effect it would give the audience after the change. The peer reviewer talked about our music and some of the shots that were taken, and we made sure to make the storyline clear in the film. Although our film had some shots that needed to be redone, it was supposed to be a rough draft, so the advice given was really helpful to us when we are still editing the final product. This weekend my partner and I plan to redo some shots and use the advice given to make the fi
