Comparing Le Je Tee, the short, and 12 monkeys, the full-length movie

 Video:

What is your takeaway from the video? 12 Monkeys is a 1995 science fiction film that tells the story of a time traveler from the future who is sent back in time to prevent a deadly virus from wiping out most of humanity. The film explores themes of determinism, the potential consequences of time travel, and

the importance of human connection. One of the key takeaways from the film is the idea that our

actions, no matter how small, can have far-reaching consequences. The film also suggests that the future's not set in stone and that it can be changed through the choices we make in the present. Additionally, 12 Monkeys highlights the value of human relationships and the power of love to overcome even the most dire of circumstances.

What good information did you gather while watching it? While watching the video I recognized clamps such as zoom ins to a medium close up when the woman is being shown in 12 monkeys. And how the shots of the people were taken closed up to convey their pain or agony. And how wide shots were taken for example when the girl was standing by the taxidermy exhibition applying symbolism.

How do you envision this helping you through your short film process? These could help with a horror or thriller genre. But it could also help with short films to show how to convey emotions and values while having a storyline that’s interesting with plot twist at the end of the younger version of himself seeing the death of his older version. Overall the short film 12 monkeys helps with inspirational storylines of creating a short film and with how to convey emotions through shots.

We have also decided that this is a great science fiction film.  While reading the article we have gathered, that even though we got the basic information about it as well as the scientific aspect of it we feel as though, we missed information because we didn't watch the movie. Yet. However, as we read we realized that the filmmakers did put a twist on reality so the audience could relate to the problems they may be facing in life. We also noticed that the author that write the article supported her opinion with, titles from different movies. Such as, 28 days later, Contagion, and Brazil. We also noticed that the mis.en.scene and the farming of the movie 12 monkeys are indications of time travel and futuristic. The article even went into a deeper understanding and stated that the people of lesser social standing came to distrust their
