  2. What elements did I like - I like the transition element of the film, the flashbacks were cohesive with one another, it told a full story instead of a piece of the story, and it went with the overall theme of the film.

  3. What elements did I not like - I didn’t like how some of the camera shots were taken in flashback scenes, for example, the low angle was shaky, which made the scene hard to focus on

The Neighborhood

  Hey, Blog! Finally, the group decided on a location for the neighborhood scenes. We were only a short distance apart, so we had no trouble getting there. We walked around the neighborhood first to find the best location, then began assembling the tripod for filming. We talked about how each scene would play out and rehearsed the lines and shots. We had wind interfering with the audio of the actors during filming, so we had to retake the scenes or wait until the breeze died down. Fortunately, we had my AirPods and used them as a microphone to overcome the wind, and the audio sounded much clearer and of higher quality when we rewatched the scenes.  Everything was going swimmingly, including the weather, and the only issue we encountered was when we had to film scenes on the road. Genre research (It Chapter 2)

  Camera Angles (CAMS) - I noticed in the movie that there is a frequent amount of low angles, eye levels, extreme close-ups, high angles, and tracking shots. These angles and shots were used to either show the reactions on the character's face, make the character feel like it's being followed or watched, create dramatic tensions or emphasize how scary the villain is. Mis-en-scene (CLAMPS) - The costumes of the characters were realistic, casual outfits for the protagonists and an old, torn, and dirty outfit for the intended character of the antagonist.  The lighting depended on where the scenes were being shot. For example, in a tunnel when confronting the antagonist it’s usually quite dark or dim, just enough to still the characters, engaging the audience and showing the antagonist emerge from the darkness into the light to seem horrifying, flashing lights in battles.
