 1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences of the film? Which ones?

- Twelve which are production, actors, and entertainment

2. What connotations do the images carry? (How do they make you feel)

- images carry a connotation of a poor family, living and struggling together 

3. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes for the outset? (Can you tell what genre the film is?

-   by the opening, you can’t really tell its a horror film since it starts off as a family, Living a normal life in a poor neighborhood

4. What conventions are used to ensure that the film appeals to its target audience?

- The setting shows that the people live in a poor neighborhood which creates uncertainty for the audience if the targeted audience is interested in movies with a more elaborate story.

      In the short film it addresses the issue of selfishness and taking someone for granted. In the beginning of the film, it starts out as a moment of rekindling of friendship between the two characters, where they highlight each other on significant moments in their life separate life and the one they both shared before. By this the audience gets a grasp of the two personalities of the characters and as the film develops and the scene changes the audience also gets to grasp the unfavorable traits of each character.
